October 11, 2010-Warsaw, Indiana - With Indiana’s unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, the possible addition of a 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Warsaw would be welcome growth to the state’s economy.
For two days at the end of September, members of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation and the USDA visited the Winona PVD Coatings plant to take a tour of the facility and to speak with the company’s management team about the expansion of the facility.
“This year, Winona PVD Coatings has added over 25 employees in order to keep up with the increased demand for our G-Chrome® finish from both the original equipment and aftermarket wheel customers,” said Jamie Visker, CEO of Winona PVD Coatings. “As we are approaching the capacity of our current facility, the company must expand in order to meet the growing demand for our bright and black chrome finishes. Currently, we are exploring Indiana as the possible location for the additional manufacturing capacity.”
The Winona PVD Coatings plant expansion would include the addition of 60,000 square feet and the installation of production lines, therefore tripling the company’s current capacity. It is estimated that this expansion would provide at least 50 additional jobs in the next 12 to 18 months.

Winona PVD Coatings’ G-Chrome® finish provides an environmentally-friendly alternative to chrome plating that is more durable, adds less weight to the wheel, costs less than the traditional chrome plating process and will not pit or peel.
